The Shattered Vase

This is the final excerpt I will release from my novel, The Shattered Vase. I would appreciate if you would buy either an ebook version or a print version when it is released. Thank you so much!

Arrogance, Deceit, Rejection and Despair wove their threads
of evil into the pain of Betrayal. Arrogance set the stage for
Betrayal, slipping into the mind of the perpetrator with thoughts of
self-importance.
Deceit was right on the heels of Arrogance with the encyclopedia
of lies such as: “We have a mandatory leadership seminar this weekend.
Sorry, the spouses aren’t allowed to come. They are considered
a distraction.”
On the other hand: “The hickey on the side of my neck? Hmmm,
well…. it was a work accident. I can’t tell you how exactly it happened.
It just happened okay? Why are you so paranoid?”
And… “How did I get a tan while going to a leadership seminar
in Wyoming in the dead of winter? Have you ever heard of a tanning
salon? And yes, that is exactly where that Hawaiian lei came from.”
The more deceit, the greater became the absurdity of the lies.
Soon the one who was betrayed would feel the pain of Rejection
seeping into their heart, and that opened the door for the last evil
entity, Despair.
According to the empire of evil, Despair was a grand place for
someone to be. Despair could prevent Hope, Faith, Joy, Trust, and
Love from healing the pain of Betrayal. Despair could bind a person
in misery.
In the spirit world of evil, the Beast of Betrayal was a giant. The
Beast of Betrayal had an unusual alliance with love. Betrayal was
powerless if love had not forged a path first. If a person had no capacity
for love, Betrayal had no power to inflict pain.
Suzie loved Joe. She loved him with every cell of her body, and
Betrayal had a bullseye on Suzie’s heart.
