THE KROGER PHARMACY

I was at the Kroger pharmacy the other day getting a prescription filled. As I dropped off my prescription I noticed that they were swamped with customers. The pharmacy tech asked me when I wanted to pick it up. I glanced around and said, “Tomorrow is fine, I can see you are really busy right now.”

The pharmacy tech, Jeremy, smiled and said,”Thanks, it is like this every night.” At that point, I made a mental note to come during the day from then on. Since I work from my home currently, I have a flexible schedule.

The Kroger pharmacy did not disappoint. They didn’t wait until the next day. They had it ready that evening.

However, I waited until the next morning to pick up my medication. At that time I could see the man in front of me was giving Jeremy, the pharmacy tech, a piece of his mind. I could tell by his stance and his demeanor that he was upset.

I waited patiently in line until I was called up to the cash register. I approached the counter with a smile of understanding. Jeremy acknowledged me and kept working out the problem of the previous customer. Then he got to my transaction. He processed it correctly and with a smile said, “I am sorry you had to wait. Thank you so much for your patience.”

I said, “It looked like the previous customer was a bit upset, so I am glad you resolved his issue. I hope you have a good day, Jeremy.”

Jeremy’s furrowed brow melted into a warm smile. “Thank you.”

As I was walking away from the counter the Holy Spirit whispered in my ear, “You have a gentle spirit.”

That was so sweet because I have not always had that. That has been a work of the Holy Spirit in my life. I used to be impatient and at times rude.
I see women in the media who are so brash and offensive with their mannerism of speech. It offends me. I feel sorry for them. They may have captured time on television, but that is not the way to capture the heart of God.

In the Bible the true beauty of a Godly woman is portrayed in her spirit, not in her dress, or her jewelry.
“Let your beauty not be external – the braiding of hair and wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes – but the inner person of the heart, the lasting beauty of a gentle and tranquil spirit, which is precious in the God’s sight.” 1 Peter 3:3-4 (NET)

I want to give a shout out to the Kroger pharmacy at this point.

There was a time when I had a horrible fracture in my right collar bone and it was doctor induced through a botched surgery. I had to get pain pills and could not even move my right arm without busting out in tears. The sweet pharmacy tech said that she recognized me and gave me the pain pills without me having to dig out my id. I know this may offend some who are legalistic, but it literally touched my heart in a very special way. It essentially showed me that this pharmacy cared for me as a person, did not care about the money or any stupid governmental regulations. https://singleparents.dfwhostingwebsites.com/pain-opioid-crisis/

For those who are of the opinion that pain medication is unneeded. I would like for you to have a fracture in your collar bone and see what you think after experiencing that. It is horrific pain. Yet God has healed me and I no longer require pain medication of any kind. As in all things, Praise God for His mercy and healing power through the sacrifice of his one and only Son, Jesus Christ.
