THE CONCERN OF A MOTHER

Sometimes I get concerned about my kids. I think every mother does. We always want the best for them and hope they encounter the best advantages in life.

Recently I have been concerned about a child of mine and the automobile they were using. It is in disrepair and neither I, nor their Dad, has the means to buy them a working vehicle. So I fretted a bit about this. I don’t really know if it is a necessity for this son to have a car but it would be nice.

I prayed about this and received peace. Usually when I pray about things and I get peace, I stop praying but not in this case. I have kept pestering God about this and tonight I was praying again about this in Church. As I was focusing my attention on this need, during the praise and worship, I wondered if God really cared about my child.

The thought occurred to me that He had cared enough about my son to sacrifice His only Son on a cross for him. If He loved my son that much, taking care of my son whether or not he has a car, should be well within His realm of influence.
