I have mentioned my friend David several times in different posts on my blog. He is a man who truly worships God as his Father.

Yesterday I received an upsetting text from him. He had been driving with his son and they had an accident and rolled their car.

His son’s 5th cervical vertebrae was shattered in the accident.

This is the vertebrae which controls movement and can result in paralysis if God’s hand is not extended in healing.

David’s son, Daniel, had surgery this morning and David texted me this morning saying that the surgery went very well.

I ask all those who are touched by this to intercede incessantly for Daniel, David and Vivian (David’s wife).

Having just gone through a cervical fracture with my brother I know that God is in the business of healing. I have experienced the hand of God in that instance, healing and protecting my own brother and I know that this is not beyond God’s reach.

He needs for us to partner with him in prayer for His power is released through our intercession.

Isn’t that amazing? That God’s power is released through us? When He could do absolutely anything and everything by Himself, He instead chooses to rely upon our love for Him and also for others.

He is such a wonderful and loving God. So great and almighty and yet so tender and vulnerable.

Please pray for God’s hand of healing to be extended over, under and through Daniel. Also pray that David and Vivian will not become discouraged throughout this trial because then the Devil will win an opening into their hearts.
