I have been very financially strapped as of late. As an eternal optimist and a Bible believing Christian I believe that God causes all things to work together for good.
Well, there is no thing good about being poor is there?
Actually there is alot of wonderful things about not having any stash of cash in the bank.
#1. You can’t get ripped off by con artists because you have no money to give them. So therefore you don’t spend all your time trying to make millions with some silly online scheme because you can’t pay them the upfront cost.
#2. You learn to do things by yourself and learn things that you never thought you were capable of because you do not have the money to hire someone else to do these things for you.
#3. You come across people who are angels, like my friend, Marilyn Walker, who taught me how to post affiliate advertisements and didn’t ask a penny for her teaching.
4. You learn to be thankful for more when you have less. Those who have a lot are rarely thankful for anything.
5. You thank God for the little things because it is those little things which can erupt into big blessings.
6. You have friends that like you for you, not what you can do for them or buy for them.
7. If you have children and you are poor they will learn the value of money but hopefully not idolize it.
8. You may learn that things which are really important in life such as a kind word or deed may not cost a cent.
9. You have compassion on those who are struggling financially because you have “been there done that.”
10. Most of all you realize that although having money is nice, it is not essential to happiness. I know a lot of wealthy people who are miserable and greedy, nasty people.
11. You realize that when you are at the bottom of the barrel the only way to climb out is to look up and start climbing.
12. You learn not to rely upon the false sympathy of others who say they will help you out and yet do nothing. You choose your friends wisely and trust in God, not man, for the increase.
