MY NEWS SOURCE

I rarely have time to watch the news. I also rarely have the stomach for it. One negative story after another can get old. So how do I find out what is going on in my neighborhood?

I call my Mom. She lives over 500 miles away from me and she is the one who told me that there was an Ebola case in Dallas. Sheesh, Dallas is just an hours drive away from me. I should have caught wind of that.

Today she sent me an urgent text message notifying me that I was supposed to be in danger because of a storm. I was at a patient’s house when the storm hit and I rushed out to get my car back home to escape any damage from hail.

One problem occurred with that scene and that was that there was no hail. Hmmmm….

In fact I turned off my sprinklers too because I though we had gotten a sizeable amount of rain only to realize it was .10.

The wind did not rip my roof off nor did it break any of my lovely trees.

So she asked if we had a bad storm. I replied that we had a good storm, got some rain but no hail.

She asked again if I was alright. I said “I am fine, silly.”

I then called the worry wort and told her that once again my Heavenly Father had protected me.

When I got home from a ladies meeting at church I found out my daughter was sick in bed. I woke her up twice to find out how she felt. She had almost been asleep before I bothered her to find out how she felt.

I guess the apple does not fall far from the tree. lol

I find it amusing that I have faith that God will protect me but I doubt that He is big enough to protect my children. Believe me He is far bigger than that.
