I graduated from nursing college in 1993. I worked as a nurse for close to 20 years. Within that time span I met a lot of very vicious people and also some highly intelligent and compassionate people but I didn’t make a sustainable income.

For eight of those years I worked a full-time job and a part-time job and still struggled. It would have helped if my ex would have paid the proper child support but he didn’t.

In May of 2012 I stopped working as a nurse. My right knee was causing me so much pain that some days I could barely walk.  I had also been threatened by my employer that if any patients followed me to a new company when I quit they would sue me. (Like it was my fault that people liked me better than them.)

I had penned a novel but knew it needed more work so I hired an editor but like most writers I have difficulty with procrastination when it comes to big projects.

I was planning on going back into nursing this fall but I fell and broke my collar bone and that is when the “Aha” moment happened.

I had read plenty of books about how to get a novel self published and they all said you had to build a fan base. The best way to build a fan base is to launch a blog and that is just what I did.

Today I have topped 10,000 views to my blog and I hope I have touched people’s hearts with my writing.

Yesterday over 300 people viewed my blog. If I would have been a nurse I would have done good to see 5-8 people yesterday in my home health field.

I have not made any income on my blog and I am now transforming it into an avenue of income for me through advertising.

I hope that you check out the ads on my blog and give these businesses a consideration.
