MOTHER’S DAY

My Mother’s day celebration started on Saturday. My sweet boyfriend was intent on taking me to shop for Mother’s day.

I have not gone shopping in such a long time. I have not yet made enough money as a Christian author to afford that luxury. If you would like to help me out in that area, I suggest you click on the following link.,https://www.amazon.com/Shattered-Vase-Battle-Life-Book-ebook/dp/B07KRNQ6NW

He asked if we could go to Costco sometime during the day. I said, “Sure, why do you want to go to Costco?”

He replied, “There is a Dyson vacuum cleaner I want to check out.” https://amzn.to/2LM5csD

I said, “Well, why don’t we do that first?”

So, we drove to Costco and he found the gem of a vacuum. I encouraged him to buy it. He said, “No, this day is all about you, not me.”

I started pleading with him. “Honey, I don’t mind this day being about you. Go ahead and buy it.” He started walking away from the vacuum area. (I knew he would put it to good use and this was something he desperately needed.) https://singleparents.dfwhostingwebsites.com/boyfriends-house/

I led him back to it, asking him to show me what was so great about this particular model.  I oohed and awed at the wonderful cleaning machine, hoping my endorsement would lead him to buy it for himself.

He didn’t.

Then he walked away from that department. I followed, a bit disappointed that he had not bought the vacuum cleaner. I asked him what else he needed and he said, “It is a surprise for you.” He continued to walk until he found an electronic trash can which he bought for me.

I know you may think that a trash can is not exactly a great present, but I think it is wonderful! In fact, that is exactly what I bought him for his birthday. We are both very grateful for practical and useful presents.

Then he went crazy and bought me a new Samsung tablet, a load of wonderful clothes at Steinmart and also took me out for a lavish meal at a Mediterranean restaurant.

I am grateful to God for the generosity which my boyfriend consistently shows me. He is not the father of my children, but he still spoils me rotten.

For the record, my boyfriend did buy the vacuum cleaner also but did it after Mother’s day. (So excited about that!!!)
