MISSING AND EXPLOITED CHILDREN

I read a post today on aol.

It was about a 10 year old girl who had been abducted and killed. I can not imagine the evil that resides in a person who would do this to a child.

Then I did some research and found that the number of missing children in this country exceeds 900,000 for last year. With adults included,  that statistic rises to 2,300 people missing daily.

Some of the children are being trafficked for sex. Some are murdered and some are abducted by noncustodial parents.

It seems as if it is a contagious disease and we are not doing enough to stop it.

But there are more lost children then just these, ones which remain uncounted in statistics.

God has lost many children to the lure of sin and the devil’s grasp.

Children whom He loves, lost for eternity.

You know, those drug addicts, those prostitutes and the homeless. Those nasty women who strip for a living. The men who are sexual predators. Men who abuse their families. Women who break up marriages. Prisoners who are in for life.

Nobody cares about those people. They deserve what they get. They made poor choices. It is their fault. Consequences of sin are never fun consequences.  Big deal, no skin off of my back right?

They are lost. Why should I care?

For one reason and one only, because God does and he didn’t make distinctions when he sacrificed His son.
