Although my children were not fatherless in reality a man who leaves his home leaves not only his wife but also the children open to attacks from the devil. God says that he will protect the fatherless.
I know for a fact that God does protect children who no longer covered by the presence of their father in the home.
My children were young at the time that God showed me His protection.
I had decided to start going to the gym to work out. I had worked out almost daily since I was fourteen years old. With small children at home I needed to go to a gym which had daycare.
I joined the 24 hour fitness gym and started to work out. It wasn’t too long before a fellow male gym member showed interest in meeting me outside of the gym.
He said he had a daughter and that he went to church. He named the church and I shared my church and told him a bit about my family. He asked for my phone number and I gave it to him.
That weekend I went to work at a nursing home. As I was walking down the hall I happened to look down at an ice chest and a newspaper that was on top of the ice chest. I saw that man’s photo on the front page of the paper.
I stopped to read the article and learned that this man had been convicted for sexual molestation of quite a few young children. He was a member of the single’s group at that church and he would offer to babysit for the single parents. While the children were at his house he would force them to engage in inappropriate sexual acts with each other and then he would videotape them.
After he was arrested he must have gotten out on bail because he called me showing an interest in a relationship. I declined the offer.
I thank God for his protection. He arranged everything perfectly so that I would find out the perversion of this man before I had a chance to encounter him in a dating situation.
He wouldn’t have had a chance to harm my children even if I had dated him because I didn’t allow them to stay with people I did not know and never left them alone with a man.
It is interesting that the next man I dated was a detective that worked for the DA and he said he had seen some of the videos and it was horrible what this man had done to these children. He went on to say that they had locked this man away for so long he would never see the light of day outside his prison walls for the rest of his life.
Even when the devil takes a man away from his family, God is still present and His protection is better than any man could ever hope to be.

Thank you darling. I am currently working with my blog and a wonderful woman who is helping me get it to a place where it can produce an income stream for me. I am not happy with the current situation that my blog is in and I really need to make money somehow so I am hoping I can get it in a good place and then I will be back to my daily posts. Thank you again for the award. I will respond and post it as soon as I figure out that also. lol I feel as if I am a kindergartener in college.
AMEN SISTER!!! Yes, I believe that God does consider these children “fatherless” because a man does not only abandon his wife but his children as well when he seeks another wife and family. And, yes… God’s protection increases as He becomes the “father” to the “fatherless” and the Husband to the “widow” or even abandoned. God knows each person’s heart and He will judge and bless accordingly. He has protected me and I know that He protects many of us as we struggle after abuse and divorce. May His Hand of Protection and Provision stay over your life, my sister!
