I see you bustling around getting ready for Christmas. Making sure all of your gifts are bought, then wrapping them with gift wrap and putting them under the tree.
I see you decorating your house to make it look festive. Spending the money you don’t have on things which you don’t need.
I see you sweating in the kitchen making all of those calorie-laden treats and then complaining about the holiday weight gain.
I see some of you going to church to commemorate my birth. If they even mention my birth at your church one of the first things they will mention is where I was born. There was no room at the Inn, so I was born in a stable.
I didn’t mind that there was no room at the inn. What hurts me, is that there is little to no room in your heart.
I didn’t die to reserve a room in a palatial inn. I died to enter your heart.
Would you mind opening the door this Christmas and letting me in?
With deepest love,
Your Savior, Jesus Christ
