I haven’t had much luck in the dating department lately. Some of that is due to my quitting the internet dating sites but I kind of think God has his hand in it too.
A few weeks ago I went to a social gathering that was for singles and it was at a nearby club. I had fun and one certain guy started hitting on me. I liked him but not enough to date him.
He asked me out the next weekend. He asked me to meet him at a very nice place so I figured I would go just as a friend. The whole time I was driving into town I was praying. When I got there I looked around for him and couldn’t find him. So I drove back home.
He texted me about two hours later and told me he had fallen asleep. I told him to get lost. I realized that this was my answer to prayer. God put the sleep on him. lol
Then tonight I was going to give a guy one last chance to grab my heart. This guy has been a flake from the start but I keep giving him chances.
Well, tonight he flaked out again and said his water heater started leaking. I imagine that could happen, but for a man who is a construction manager for a commercial real estate company like this man is, I think he should have things like that under control.
I won’t be responding to any more text messages or phone calls from him because I blocked his number.
I am thankful that God is protecting me by being my matchmaker, he knows the hearts of men better than I do and He also knows I am not a push over.
Guys if you want to date a girl it is real simple just show up for the date, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.
Gracie Lynne, I can tell you that is exactly what God is doing. He wants to bring the perfect mate that He has been planning all along. He knows each heart and is orchestrating the steps of each person that He wants to being together. It is not easy to be alone but God knows our inner most desires. No dating service or singles group really know a person… but God does. Like He has been telling me, just wait on Him. Blessings my sister!!
