FINDING YOUR DESTINY

There are many people who would like to know God’s will for their life. This is a very worthy desire for anyone to embrace. They are seeking their God centered destiny.

Seeking God’s will may be one of the dividing lines for who gets into heaven and who does not.

In Matthew 7:21 Jesus states “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord! Will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. (22) On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord!Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name. (23) But I will reply,’I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.”

In this passage it may seem like God is making a call to legalism. That is what I thought to begin with.

Then I read the commentary in my Bible and I changed my perspective. I don’t think that God is leading us into self-righteousness justification in this passage.

He may be leading us into a personal relationship with him one in which He knows us from afar because He has seen into our hearts.

If Christ is in our hearts we are not bound by condemnation and sin. We are set free by the sacrifice of Jesus’ blood on the cross.

To walk in freedom from condemnation is to walk in peace, which is a bit of heaven on earth.

Tomorrow I will post on idols which can lure us away from walking in God’s will.
