CHRISTMAS DECORATING IS FUN IN DECEMBER, NOT SO MUCH IN JANUARY

Have you ever noticed how Christmas decorating is a blast in November or December or whenever the blazes you do your decorating?

Then January comes barging into the door and it is not quite the same excitement.

Well, today was my self appointed day to put all of the stuff back in the boxes and up in the attic.

While I do this mundane task I am always thinking of ways to do it better and today I thought up a genius idea.

Most of you probably have pre-lit trees right? But what about the strands of lights you place outside? What is the best way to store them so that you don’t have a tangled mess next year?

Here is my idea…  Wrap them around the paper towel cardboard that is left after you use up all of the paper towels, securing the ends with duct tape.

Even better wrap them around a wrapping paper roll. You know those long cylindrical cardboard thingies that the wrapping paper comes in?

Then just either put them in a storage container if they are wrapped around a paper towel roll, or stand them up in your attic if they are wrapped around a wrapping paper roll.

I know I am a genius right?

Not really cause if I was a genius I would have had my construction company install pre-lit mountain cedars outside by my front door,  so I wouldn’t even have to mess with the strands of light to begin with.  lol

Have a Happy New year by the way!
