I just want to wish all of the dear, sweet women who read this blog a Happy Mothers Day. For those who are single mothers I especially want to celebrate you. It is difficult to be a mother when the other half has flown the coop. God never intended this job to be a solo occupation and those who are doing it solo will be rewarded by our heavenly Father.

I also feel led by God to celebrate stepmothers. I have never been a stepmother but I imagine that role has its challenges as well. To be a mother to someone that you have not naturally given birth to is amazing. I think it would be loads of fun but I am sure it would also be difficult at times.

Those who are married not only have to raise their children but also be a support to their husband. Sometimes husbands are more difficult to train than children.

So I wish each one of you a Happy Mothers Day and hope that you have a blessed occasion to celebrate this role which God has given you.
