My son called from Florida today. Like usual he got around to hitting me up for money. Seems that that is the only time he calls. This time he wanted me to pay for his car insurance.

I would gladly do it if I had the money but right now I don’t. He is also planning on going to Cancun for spring break.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. You can use the money that you would spend on Cancun for your car insurance Bud.

I told him I would think and pray on it. I also told him I would like to travel too and it is very difficult for me to travel when I am constantly having to help out my adult children with money.

I started thinking about my day and realized that although I didn’t spend a day on the beach in Cancun, I had a great day.

I admitted a new patient and he was very grateful. Then I went to see one of my favorite little old ladies. I love seeing her, she always compliments me on how I dress and says how tiny I am. (She needs new eye glasses.lol)

After the initial bout of wonderful compliments we started joking. There were four of us; my patient, her caregiver, a friend of hers and me. We lit it up. We cackled like a party of hens and had the greatest time together. It was so much fun.

We didn’t even have to have Tequila or a Cabana boy but if we had well… we would have gotten into so much trouble. Just saying…

Most times it isn’t the place or the food you eat. It is the people you spend time with who can make your day a paradise.
