Bible Study

I am involved in a new Bible study. I have heard about this group for many years and have harbored a desire to become involved in this group.

I went for the first time last Monday and the church was overflowing with people who wanted to be involved in this Bible study. They said a great many of the newcomers would have to be on a waiting list to attend. I figured I would be one of those that was placed on the waiting list.

I decided that I would place it in God’s hands and not worry or become impatient. I intended to use my time wisely by continuing in my present Bible study and becoming involved in another. I am also starting a Bible study for women and that will take a lot of time in preparation.

The Bible study I was hoping to go to on Monday nights is the Bible study fellowship. It is an international organization and it is very well respected as a sincere and thought provoking Bible study. It involves quite a lot of time in meditation and study. I figured God would allow me to get involved when He knew I had time and I didn’t know if I had time yet.

Yesterday was a very busy day for me. I got a lot of cleaning done and ran around and did some errands. I got my house decorated for the autumn season and as I was running around I got a call from a number I didn’t recognize. I checked my voicemail, thinking it was a patient or a patient’s family member. When I checked the voicemail I was surprised. I got into the Bible study!!! I am so over the top excited! This was much more than I expected. I thought in maybe a month or two I would be able to attend but in the first week? No way! I am just thrilled.

So as I am continuing to study the word of God and learning I will share with you what I learn. I am so thankful to God for allowing me to blog and to be able to share what I learn with my readers. It makes it so wonderful to study His word.

This Bible study is on the book of Revelations and this is the first time the Bible Study Fellowship has ever studied this book. You would not believe how many people are hungry for teaching from this book. There is a lure to understanding prophecy but the desire I believe is quenched when we understand that it really is all about Jesus Christ.

Stay tuned. I will be blogging as I learn and study. I hope you all are as excited as I am. I think I got the best Christmas gift ever in September!

  1. I had a “feeling” when I saw the first few words of your title, and it was true! I’ve been in bsf for years and live it. I think you will too, and Revelation is such an exciting book!
