I was terrified of getting Alzheimer’s disease. I was so petrified that I did a research paper on the possible causes of this mind altering sickness while in nursing college.

The one thing that stuck out in my mind was that in the autopsies of people who had Alzheimers they had found deposits of aluminum. That was the findings back in the late 1980’s. Apparently the body cannot digest this and it crosses the blood brain barrier.

I stopped using Aluminum foil for most of my cooking. Then I began examining other products I used. I was horrified to find that all deodorants at that time had aluminum listed as the main ingredient.

Although now the scientists don’t mention the correlation between aluminum and Alzheimer’s. I find it interesting that some deodorant companies are steering away from aluminum.
