I usually try to write blog posts that are uplifting and encouraging. My audience is single parents and if anyone deserves encouragement it is those courageous souls. I try not to let you know the hardships I am going through.

Yet I also try to be honest in my blog posts and honestly right now I need prayer.

My brother is going through a horrible hardship and unfortunately this hardship has the potential for affecting his siblings also. We are a farm family and someone is trying very hard to destroy this legacy that my father left his children.

Sometimes it seems as if God is not listening to my prayers. During the darkest times in my life I have felt as if he had turned his back on me.

My brother is a good man. He goes to church and loves the Lord but this hardship has blinded his eyes with darkness. He has lost all hope.

I am trying so hard to see if any good can arise out of this evil, yet the ground of good is parched and dry, refusing to sprout even the smallest morsel of hope.

So, I am asking those of you who pray, to intercede for me and my family. Please pray that this hardship will be lifted, the lessons learned that God intends and that hope will be restored.
