THE LIBERAL AGENDA

I am not a liberal, I am a Republican. I am also against abortion.

I am unlike most Republicans.

I have compassion on those who have chosen abortion. I do not condemn them anymore because I have seen some loved ones go through the traumatic decision to have an abortion and I understand why they made that decision.

Understanding is the foremost opponent to condemnation.

I also do not think that as humans we have the right to misuse God’s creation to pad the pockets of those whose pockets are already filled with millions of dollars. I believe that God gave us authority over the earth, but He assumed we would use that authority wisely.

I have had friends who are homosexual. I do not condemn them, I try to understand them. If they are to be judged, then it is only God who should judge them, not me.

You may think I am more liberal than conservative with my views.

I am not because I detest the liberal agenda which is so prevalent in the media. Every time a Christian voices, their opinion about homosexuality Huffington post characterizes that opinion as being disgusting and gross.

It is neither disgusting or gross, it is merely an opinion. The fact that they characterize it negatively makes me wonder why they feel so threatened by an opinion which is contrary to theirs.

I would be really upset about this if Huffington Post was a great news organization, but their reporting and journalistic excellence is a joke. I can’t tell you how many spelling errors I have found in their articles because I lost count a long time ago.

Lately I have been watching the series “Orange is the New Black”. I have become quite disenchanted with the series because of their slanderous characterization of the Christians in the prison population.

The one girl who says she is Christian is characterized as a lunatic. I imagine it would be hard not to be a lunatic if you were a Christian in prison.

What is not shown is what happens when a couple of Christians come into the prison to minister to the prisoners through Prison Fellowship.

My aunt and uncle were very involved in this ministry when they lived in Nebraska. They were dearly loved by everyone who encountered them. They used to have women prisoners come out to their farm for short periods of time. They truly showed the love of Christ to everyone in the women’s prisons.

They are now living in Kansas and they are continually in contact with many prisoners, showing them love and compassion.

It would be such a breath of fresh air if the media would strip off their cloak of liberalism and become unbiased in their opinions.

It would also be just as nice if churches stopped telling us who we should vote for and stopped giving any air time to political persuasion.

If Jesus went after the money changers for misusing the temple, one wonders what he would do today when His house of worship is being used to sway voters.

Maybe if the media would stop shoving their liberal agenda down our throats, the churches could get back to doing what they should be doing in the first place which is worshipping God.
