AstraZeneca AND THE EMERGENCE OF ZOMBIES.

Yesterday I was sitting in a waiting room, waiting for a doctor. In my spare time I happened to pick up a Wall Street Journal.

I used to be a nurse in the old days and so an article about a doctor challenging a drug study caught my eye.

The article said that the drug Brilanta was on the hot seat.

Apparently someone may have inflated the number of deaths in the control group.

This deception resulted in Brilanta appearing to be the winner in the fight against blood clots.

As I continued to read it appears as if Brilanta was a bit dangerous and the drug trials records were reported to be sloppy.

AstraZeneca, the pharmaceutical company who manufactured Brilanta denied all wrongdoing.

They went so far as to refuse to comment on the allegation that patients were reporting their own death.

WHAT?!

I looked closer and yes that is exactly what the article said.

“Patients were reporting their own death.”

I quickly turned the page to check the story again for confirmation.

In a text box on the front page it was clearly stated. “12 PATIENTS WERE SAID TO HAVE REPORTED THEIR OWN DEATH BY PHONE.”

HOLY SHIT! How on earth do you call someone when you are dead?

It doesn’t make a difference if the drug works or not. If dead people are actually calling to report their death we have a problem.

Now we don’t only have to worry about finding a good blood clotting deterrent but we may have to worry about the emergence of zombies. Thanks, AstraZeneca, like I needed that. lol

This article will be reposted on Harsh Reality because I have been blessed with a guest spot on that amazing blog.

  1. Gracie,

You have me confused. Dead people vote all the time so making a phone call to report their own demise is a piece of cake.
